Welcome back beauties to the rollercoaster that is – the Slimming World Journey 🙂 but lets be honest not all journeys are straight forward on a flat surface – certainly not in my case anyway!
I have been up and down and up and down but still continuing to go that’s the main thing.. on other attempts I would have had a bad week and just given up or decided I was obviously too “busy” or whatever suited at the time, and busy I am way too busy sometimes but I don’t think I could ever say that I was too busy to find one hour a week to sort my health because that’s really what it boils down to isn’t it? Its all well and good having fabulous arse in your favorite jeans but if your choices are not good for your health its pretty pointless no? Well that’s certainly what is motivating me this week.
I decided on Sunday that it was the day of organization and getting myself properly back on track – those of you that follow me on snapchat will have seen the frenzies that followed … a good frenzie none the less.. 3 batches of soup! Butternut Squash and Sweet Potato, Roasted Red Pepper & Tomato and Honeyed Carrot! (I will put up the recipes for those asking this week I promise by the way) but I must say getting organized, knowing that I had all my dinners and possibly the odd emergency dinner covered made me feel really motivated and like I was winning at “adulting” if you will…
To think a few years ago I wouldn’t have even entertained the idea of soup never mind spend my Sunday chopping and peel veg like it was going out of fashion!
I do realize though that I need to step up my exercise game, although they do say (whoever they are I don’t know…) that it is 80% about food and 20% about exercise, when you look at it like that you think hummmmm I really need to focus on the food but when you are trying to grab that half pound somewhere it does all matter.
I unfortunately have PCOS which from what I can tell is an infliction of “dammed if you do and dammed if you don’t” proportions, it makes losing weight difficult but imperative if you want to improve the symptoms.. I remember asking a specialist if I lost weight would I “cure myself” and she said that unfortunately statistics show that people with PCOS are very unlikely to be able to lose weight and keep it off as a result her answer was “we’ll just treat it” -rather bleak however, I decided that I was going to change the statistic so this week its back to the pool with me because everything and anything is possible it might rage me a bit longer ti get there but I will get three and so can you!
